Thank you for your donation, big or small YOU made a difference!

The first Teletón USA will broadcast tonight. If you are not familiar with this organization let me tell you a little about this great cause. It is basically a "Telethon" Most telethons feature heavy solicitations for pledges (promises to donate funds at a later time) combined with variety show style entertainment all the money raised is for children's rehabilitation centers for disabled and/or children with Cancer, Autism and other disabilities. I personally grew up watching the Teletón since it has been broad casted annually in Mexico and Chile. Telethons are worldwide and various countries host them every year in America Canada, Chile, Honduras, Mexico and Brazil currently host telethons. In the United States, telethons are held for various Charitable organizations; as of 2012, however, no national telethons currently exist. Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, and Fundación Teletón (Teletón Foundation) today announced the creation of Fundación TeletónUSA (Teletón Foundation USA). On December 14 and 15, 2012, under the leadership of the Univision Network, a 27 hour-long event will reach out to the Hispanic community, urging it to come together for the benefit of needy children with disabilities, cancer and autism. The TeletonUSA event will be hosted by Mario Kreutzberger "Don Francisco," Jorge Ramos, Lucero, and Galilea Montijo. It will also feature appearances by renowned entertainers and communicators; more details will be forthcoming. Now it's time for the U.S it's time for YOU to make a difference.
