One of my favorite part about the holiday season other than spending time with family and eating yummy food has to be dessert Buttermilk Pie to be exact! I wanted to share a very simple and easy recipe. Try it out for the upcoming dinner {making mini Buttermilk Pies make a great 'homemade' gift for teachers or neighbors}

Ingredients: makes 1 pie
2 cups of sugar
1 Tbsp. of flour
Juice of 1 lemon (or lime)
4 eggs
1 cup of buttermilk
1 stick of melted butter
1 pie shell

Directions:
In a mixing bowl pour and mix the sugar, flour, eggs with a whisk. When mixed and you are still whisking ask someone to pour in the buttermilk, followed by the lemon juice and then the melted butter {make sure butter is NOT hot, it may cook the eggs}
Continue whisking until everything is perfectly mixed. Pour in the pre-made pie shell and bake for 25 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
